    You are responsible for overseeing the IT function as a whole, working with office management to understand the company needs with the support of the regional IT team.

    The role:
    • Provide maximum availability of computer systems throughout the agency. Oversee the IT function – from providing front-line support to employees to managing and troubleshooting backend systems, and working with office management to develop a plan for IT and budget for each calendar year.
    • Implement IT Governance/Security policies and procedures, ensure compliance with them, and be responsible for reporting on compliance.
    • Take a leading role in guiding the agency on best uses of IT systems and technology across all disciplines, and teach employees about technology.
    The skills:
    • Proven ability to diagnose problems, perform complex troubleshooting, and provide support for Windows and Mac OS X desktops. Have good experience with technologies such as Windows Server, Linux, Cisco (routers/firewalls), VPN, SQL (MS-SQL/mySQL), web technologies, standards-based email, other open-source technologies. You are comfortable working in a mixed infrastructure environment.
    • Excellent skills with common end-user applications such as Microsoft Office, and are familiar with design applications such as the Adobe CS3 suite.
    • Strong knowledge and experience with implementing/supporting connectivity (LAN/WAN/Internet), security, wireless, and fixed/mobile communications.
    • Ability to learn new technologies and support them. Can manage projects, system implementations, and upgrades while minimizing business interruption.
    • Technical certifications or qualifications are an advantage but not a requirement
